We jumped in the car, hoping the threatening clouds and winds would not create too much of a problem. We drove to Liwonde, remarking as always, at the stunning mountain views, with our new friend Mirjam from Holland who has joined us on short term outreach. We enjoyed pizza and Cokes poolside at Hippo View Lodge before showing her the scenic Shire River walk.
We noticed a prayer room outside at the Lodge that we had never seen before, with prayer rugs pointed towards Mecca. We took a few moments to step in and pray that many would encounter Jesus there in unexpected ways.
The rain stayed away, and it was after all, a tasty and meaningful afternoon.
