Home but not yet home

Kabwe, Zambia

We flew safely and fairly comfortably across the sea.

God's favour blessed us on the fight from Minneapolis to Atlanta. There was a need to switch to a larger aircraft so some seats needed to be changed. Rick and I found ourselves in Comfort Plus, much roomier seats than usual.

We were then almost unbelievably blessed again when sitting on the plane for our 16 hour fight from Atlanta to South Africa and realising that the third seat in our row of 3 remained empty after the boarding doors closed. This gave us room to move and stretch a bit. I was even able to put my feet up!

On the last flight from JoBurg to Lusaka, Zambia, Rick met a fellow who knew people that would be interested in Foundations for Farming; while I had a pleasant conversation with three fellows from Angola after I noticed them speaking Portuguese.

Friendly Africa, we are here.

After two nights of resting with friends in the city, we drove today back to Kabwe, where we are staying at our old house. We are home again, but not yet home. Malawi calls and we are only here to do paperwork concerning our vehicle, pack as many of our boxes into the car as possible, visit with dear friends, and then... back on the road to our newest home.

Stay tuned.
